Catching up

My dear God! It's been 2 weeks since my last blog post. The time is surely passing by so fast.
Since I started my internship at lecho.be 2 weeks ago, I didn't have that much time left for myself and even less my blog tough.

Where do I start to catch up time?

Firstly, I was lucky to meet C2C at the Hotel Bloom for an interview. They were super nice (and super cute).
You can listen to the interview just right here.

Before I forgot to mention it, let me share some snaps of Louise Night!

And finally and most importantly : I moved in a new flat with 2 nice girls. You can check out their brand new blog just here: http://ncyncy.tumblr.com/ .

Sunday Song : from Victoria Bechkam

As the New York Fashion Week (NYFW) ended up this Thursday, I had to choose a fashionable song for this Sunday.
Not an easy task uh? First of all, what is a fashionable song or a fashion song? A song sang by a singer who is actually fashion, a song performed on a fashion show? Or simply a song which makes you think about fashion or a song which makes you feel like a fashion addict? Really, it wasn't easy at all. I went over all the Hotel Costes CD's but nothing was really special. Then, I tried to find a song on a Songza playlist. But again, nothing  was worthy.
Finally, Victoria Beckham's tweet came back to my mind. In truth, she tweeted that before leaving NY. So, what about letting the fashion queen herself speak today?

Anyways, I hope you'll enjoy the song and the day.

And by the way, this is my very best of the NYFW:

Pics of the weekend : commitments and breakups

This weekend my BFF Alice just got married. What a big and beautiful commitment she took two days ago. She was surrounded by her family, her friends and her husband, with who she decided to become one for better or for worst.

I couldn't help but wonder:
Nowadays, commitments are still on the agenda? What am I commit to? And by the way am I commit to something (in the absence of fiancé)?

The truth is that apart from my Cosmo and Grazia subscriptions, I am not commit to anything or anyone (so what?). Is it or good or a bad thing? I might say that: it depends.

If you take into account the fact that I'm not committed to any child and therefore I'm 'free'. I would say yes, it is a good thing. But I would say, that I not lucky to feel  this incredible feeling of becoming a parent.
If you take into account the fact that I'm not committed to any business I could be in charge with. Yes, you can say that I'm free, and I don't have to face the storm and let the business go, just  as Luc Duchêne (Belgian designer) did today.
And finally, if you take into account the fact that I'm not committed to anyone, I mean as a fiancé. Therefore I can also say, that I'm just lucky to have friends who actually are.
And the only thing I can add is : CONGRATULATIONS!!!

Goings On in Brussels

When it's Friday and the sun is up, what do we have to ask more for?
Tonight, the famous Apéros Urbains are heading up in La Cambre. So put your sunglasses on and get something to drink in your hand.

For sure, my friends and I are gonna be there and we're also thinking about ending up at the Wood to celebrate my bday.

On Saturday there's my collegemate wedding! I can't wait to see the bride!

Well, it sounds like Sunday's gonna all about resting and brunching.

Have a nice weekend!

Thank you all !

Dear followers, friends, musicians, DJs, designers, shops owners and press,

I take the opportunity of my birthday to thank you all.
Firstly for all the sweet birthday wishes you sent me today. Secondly and most importantly, for keep on reading my blog for three years (time goes by so fast). Really, it means the world to me.

Hosting this blog has been the most incredible and excited experience I’ve ever been trough. I met incredible musicians, talented designers and marvelous shops. I also had the opportunity to get one foot in the tiny little world of Belgian fashion journalists which is a huge honor for me since I am a student in journalism.

And on the top of that I met incredible people with who I built up true and strong friendships. Thank you to Mod’elle Pop Magazine. It is just amazing.

Because of all that,

Thank you guys,

Cynthia Pop

Pics of the weekend: I've been missing Brussels & Vintage Market

This weekend, was just great. As I brought back the sun from US in Belgium, I enjoyed every single minute of my weekend time! It felt so good to be home (at least for now), to see your friends and beloved family again.

Therefore, on Sunday, I spent the afternoon in downtown Brussels with my friend Alizé. We went to the Vintage Market and then ended up in Danseart for Martinis.

Vintage Market

Vintage Market
I had a really strange feeling while I was walking down the streets of the city. Really, I left Brussels without any regrets last June, I was so bored, every week looked the same, I wanted something new. And lucky me, I had it, I've been in DC, NYC, Montreal, Chicago, Milwaukee: that is quiet a something new. But as the time went by, I started to miss my family, my friends and my city.

That is why this Sunday, I never loved my city that much.

And what about you coming back home? Who/What did you miss the most after a long time away from home?
